C5 electronic messages/gauges
2001 coupe, 7k miles - developed a problem where the fuel gauge suddenly goes to empty from just under half-full, and I get a message to check the gauges and a message for low fuel. Anyone has seen this? Any easy remedies or do I have to face the dealer service... which in my area (San Jose, CA) is a daunting prospect.

There is an easy remedy,but it will require a trip to the dealer...There is an updated PCM calibration to correct :yesnod: for 2001-02...

Is this new? I thought there was a TSB for the P1431 code, and you had to replace the fuel sensors? I remember you posted the original text for it.

The TSB for the fuel senders addresses the 97-2000...Within the last month or so,a TSB was released for a PCM program update to address the 2002 gauge...Within the last 2 weeks,a PCM program update was released to address the gauge problem on the 2001,yet no info or TSB was released (I stumbled upon it when performing a PCM update on a 2001 for another concern ;) )
So if you read between the lines here,considering that the 2001-02 are still having a problem when they allready have the updated fuel senders that are being installed in the 97-2000 per the TSB...well you get the point ;)
