onboard computer rubber buttons not working :(

Hello all

Got a 98 vette that none of the rubber buttons to display on board computer functions is working. 46k on car. If I push any of the buttons on the dash to bring up say gas mileage, oil temp, mileage, battery etc etc nothing works. I cant even get my mileage to show up and about to trade it in but the dealer cant read the odometer because the buttons are not working. It is stuck on the miles of gas before hitting empty display only. Any suggestions? Anyone else ever have this happen?

If you want to bring up mileage, turn the parking lamps on with the car off. It shows the odometer.

You need a Tech 2 to get to the codes and etc. Check for water on, in or around the BCM and under the driver's seat area.
