So my question is the car has header so can they be over heating the starter and is the starter junk now that it's doing this? because it doesnt look fun to change!

I had that exact issue many years ago with a Pontiac Gran Prix. The starter bearings were shot, which caused the armature to drag on the casing when it was hot. Don't wait on fixing this as it'll trash your battery and possibly the alternator.
Thank you but after driving it today and having to pop start it I'm going to replace it..
Any buddy have some helpful tips because it's not going to be fun with my header..
Might want to do a little troubleshooting before you just go replacing parts. Battery condition, connections, ect..............Have you pulled the codes?
