Default Installing Pfadt coilovers.

Have a small problem I am sure someone can help me out, installing my Pfadt coilovers, first there is no poly insert to go ontop of the shock mount, only the polly collar,so I put that on,place the washer on top and try and tighten the nut,the collar/spacer has different size hole at each end and mentions nothing in instructions about that, anyway, when I tighten the washer down 6 times already, the polly collar/spacer keeps squirting out the side,no matter what i try, I can t get it to compress properly, any ideas, thoughts,or opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks Al

I just installed a set of PFADT coilovers and the only thing I transferred from the old shocks was the install plate for the rears. That poly bushing on the fronts should be removed. You should insert the c/o top bolt through the frame hole and then put the orange bushing on top and then tighten the nut on top of it. There shouldn't be poly bushings in the frame hole. If they are there it will limit the amount of height reduction.
Call me if you like and I'll be happy to walk you through what I'm trying to explain. Not as easy in a post as it would be over the phone. PM for my phone number if you like.

MStrahan,
Are you referring to the new generation Pfadts, Inverted feather lights?

Which indeed call for the poly bushing removed & the Pfadt
( orange in color) aluminum washer, followed by a steel washer, then at the very top, the shock nut.

I believe the original poster is installing the older style (generation)
Pfadt C/overs?

Yes. The OP and I had a conversation and the above is true. He has the older style coil overs. I enjoyed our conversation and wish I could have been more help.

OP - Thanks for getting in contact with us on this. Your setup does look like it's been on the shelf for quite a while. One of our engineers is working to resolve your install troubles via email. Let me know if you need anything else!
