Auto Trans Problem
Hello everyone I need help on this one. Started her up this morning engine was cold. Backed out the driveway and put it in drive. The trans acted like a manual trans would act if you tried to start off in 3rd or 4th gear. The engines rpm dropped real low and it moved really slow. I immediately put it in neutral and the back in drive. Worked the way it should. Started off in 1st gear and has been fine since. Any ideas??

Is your trans fluid and filter in good condition? I serviced mine about a month ago and used Dexron VI this time. What a difference! Trans works better then it ever did. Just a thought. Good luck. Maybe it was a one time thing.

I bought it 2 years ago she had 16000 miles on her. Had the dealer do a trans flush for 225.00 dollars. It now has 29800 on her. I drive it easy, cant remember the last time I had it past 4000 rpms.
