Default Corbeau Seats - Leather or MicroSuede?

I'm looking at Corbeau seats - trying to figure our whether to go with the leather or microsuede. I've read a post from someone with a daily driver with microsuede that claims it is pretty durable. I was curious if anyone has experience with the Corbeau leather quality and durability?

Thanks

I have the A4's in leather and I think the quality is fantastic for the price of the seats. I've only had them installed for a couple of months so longevity is still to be seen. I'd wait for Toque to chime in. He's had his seats in for quite a while. If he doesn't catch this thread in the next little bit, shoot him a pm. He's a great help and should be happy to help you. Sorry to offer your services Mark, but you haven't let anyone down yet.

If you are going to autocross or track the car go with suede as one does not slide around on the suede.
Otherwise I would go leather.

Get the microsuede, or even just the cloth. Holds you in soooo much better.

This is primarily a daily driver. My wife has already made a comment wondering about sliding in and out with the microsuede and if that would be a little more clingy/sticky. But on the flip side I worry about the leather bolsters looking scuffed or worn through as we will be getting in and out of the car multiple times per day.

Thanks for the input. Keep it coming. I will PM Toque.

I have the leather. It has held up fine and I like the look of it vs. the alternatives. I autocross and don't move around in the leather Corbeaus at all.

I have had my Corbeau Leather seats for 3+ years now. Its only a weekend car for me so it only sees about 3000 miles a year.

My Leather A4's have held up EXTREMELY well.

One factor for me choosing the leather seats is that the cloth and Micro suede seats have the CORBEAU name written across the top of the seat. I wanted a cleaner look with no aftermarket names printed on them.

I'm a 36" waist so there is no way I would slide around in either the cloth, micro suede or the leather. I snug right into mine when I sit in them.

I'm sure you will like going with any material on these seats. Any seat other than the stock crappy seat is an improvement.

I have the leather A4's because they look good and are easy to keep clean. If I need them to hold me more securely....I drive with my pants off.

I am considering the Corbeau A4s as well (wish I had thought of this earlier, I spent $300 repairing my stock sport seats last summer). My car is a daily driver with occasional autocross use. Do these bolt directly to the stock seat tracks? Do you lose any seat travel? I am 5'11" and keep the seat as low as possible. Any feedback is appreciated.

I put Corbeau A4's in my '98 coupe. They do not bolt to the stock tracks. You have to buy the Corbeau tracks. I am 5'10" The Corbeau tracks actually raised the seating position about 1 inch. I personally really like the seats and the driving height position. I also personally do not like leather. I went with cloth and I like them. They have a "shaved" track that I assume would keep the seat down. The other thing is you have to install the seats with the recliner handle inward(towards the tunnel). It's the only way they would fit in my car anyway. The best thing you can do is find someone with them installed and sit in them to find out for yourself. I personally really like them and am glad I did it. The camera shot makes the color look off. The red is more red than it looks here. Please ignore the dirty sill and floor mat! LOL

Since you are 5'11" I would get the 1" lower version of the driver's seat. The A4s definately sit higher than my stock seats. I have the leather version and really, really like them.

I installed the black microsuede in my '98 Coupe (Nassau Blue too) in May of last year. They've been in the car for 13 months and they still look great so far. They really hold me in, and they're abused pretty much daily by my 220 pounds crawling in and out of the driver's seat.

I'm 6' 3" and I got the 1" lowered version... but I haven't gotten in the car wearing a helmet yet! I need to try that...

Adjustments are manual. There are two. Seat forward and back. Seat back recline. That's it.

I have a Corbeau GTS II Microsuede that I use for a office chair for over 4 years and the Microsuede looks real good with no real signs of wear.

If your looking for a set of Corbeau seats please feel free to let me know what your looking for and I'll get you taken care of. We sell alot of Corbeau seats and can help you pick the right seat for you.

I am 6-2 and with a helmet on with stock seats I barely
have room. You better try the helmet.
