Default Keyfob keeps dying

I have replaced the keyfob in my 04 corvette at least twice and it keeps dying after a week. Especially after not driving the car. Is the fob " looking" for the car and the battery dies trying or ???

Explain "dying". I am working on key fob problems too and have found I can hear the fob transmit the codes with an AM receiver held close to the fob when I push the buttons. The fob and the receiver are synchronized when you go through the initial sequence of activitating your fob and you may loose that if "the transmitter and vehicle are separated for 2 weeks or more" from my shop manual. You hold the lock and unlock buttons next to the receiver (driver side rear) to resync. Have you tried that?

Dying is getting weaker and eventually not working at all. It hasn't been away for that long. If holding the two buttons doesn't fix it. I am going to perform the solder fix found on here
