detonation at WOT?
99 c5 with airfilter, xpipe and exhaust and 160 thermo. Car detonates at wot around 4500-6000rpm...using premium gas. Any ideas.

GM has issued a series of recalibrations for the timing and mixture -- your dealer should reflash the PCM before you do anything else.
I had it done on my knocking 2000, same symptons as yours, and they went completely away.
BTW -- don't let the dealer play dumb, insist on the latest calibration.
