Loose mirror glass
I was wondering if anyone has seen this and if they know a fix? My 2004 Z06 Driver's side mirror "vibrates" and "shakes". I guess if I had to "pop" the glass of I would (never did it, just read it's scary), but I am not sure if that would make a difference.

I would gently pry the glass outward while looking inside the housing with a flashlight... There are several "pins" and a central pivot point that should all be snapped in. It's quite possible that a couple of them are no longer clipped in. If you find that this is the case, be very careful to apply even pressure to the mirror when pushing it back into place, an perhaps put a dab of silicone grease on the pins to aid in them snapping back into place easily. The mirror glass is rather fragile (I learned this the hard way lol)

Just to follow up for future searchers....... it apprears the "glass" part of the mirror is also attached via double sided tape and silicone to the black pastic housing that "snaps" into the housing. Well, my glass was loose from the plastic frame, so I pulled it all off, got some better double sided tape and silicone and redid the factory job. Hope that helps, it's curing now....
