Default Head stamp / where

1997 ls1, where is the head stamped with cubic in.?

Bought my vett over a yr ago, and it was dino- tuned by Anti-Venom in tamp fl. The CAI was made by them and is very similar to the hurricane style.
The Dino sheet he gave me shows RWHP at 421, the previous owner was is a corvette tech and told me he did some motor work that added HP.

Also how can I tell if it has an ls6 intake?(z06 type) I noticed that the PVC tube does not have the attaching bracket to the tb coolant bolt on top of the head.

He also told me to be real careful, he made it scary fast, I can attest to that, it is just like he said. It has an A4 trans that has been tuned.

Any help will be great,

I just love this vett, been waiting ever since I was 16 and now at 53 I have my dream car.

Tom

The LS2 intake is not a Z06 one. The Z06 is known as a LS6 intake. Do a search for LS6 intake part numbers.
The head is not stamped with cubic inches. The heads will have the head part number stamped on it. like 853, 241,243 etc if they are oem. If it truly has that much rwhp it probably has aftermarket heads on it. The stamp on oem heads is right around where the valve covers seal on.

I have looked in that area on passenger and drivers side, no numbers any where on the head or near the valve cover area.

Will it be on the front of the head or some place hard to see?

Thanks,
Tom

The last three digits is just a portion of the number "cast"...not stamped. The full part number is on the inside of the head.

Looked again and no numbers, must be after market. Also checked the intake and the part # matches the LS 6 manifold.

Thanks for the help, I knew the experts would send me in the right direction.
