Power Loss on Automatic Downshift
While driving at 70 or over, my A4 would lose power after a WOT 4-2 or 3-2 downshift. I have seen other reports of this on this forum.
There is a fix. Chevrolet Technical Service Bulletin 02-06-04-001.
I just came from my dealer where they installed the fix in the Power Train Control Module at no charge. It works great. :) :) :) :) :cool:

I had heard about this Bulletin but was hesitant to do it because of reports that sometimes these computer upgrades will couple other changes with it that may not be desirable ex.backing off of timing.My concern was that I would experience a loss of performance, though it is unsubstantiated.Thanks for posting your experience because the way the transmission behaves after a downshift is irritating and I need have the fix installed. :) Raul
