Anyone ever experienced this code, #1296? Any info on how to check it out and resolve this condition. It concerns the brake pressure modulator valve pressure sensor. When it occurs I get the message "Service Active Handling." Nothing seems to be wrong when it comes on which seems to be randomly. I'm able to delete the code with no effort, but it will eventually come back on. I recently had some work done on the left front corner of my car after contact with an immovable item in the road which caused some repairs to be necessary which is approximately where the sensor is located. Any ideas?

I see you have a 2003 Z06 - here is a list of codes for your year:
When you had the repair done -
(1) Did they bleed the brakes
(2) Did they remove any of the brake system's brake lines for that side
(3) Is it possible the ABS needs to be bled thoroughly
(4) How long has it been since your whole brake system has been bled
There might be 'AIR' in the line causing the switch to send the signal!
This is only a starting point for us, more will chime in!
