I have the Bose cassette with the 12 disc CD changer but the problem lies with the FM reception. It sucks.......there is always a hiss or static coming from the radio even with close FM stations. Anyone have the same reception? Anyone have any fixes?
I have the same problem. :mad
I was thinking it may have something to do with the windshield antenna?
It's sucked since the day I bought it, the dealer has looked at it a couple times of course everything is OK as far as their concerned.
I know it's not the radio as I swapped my cassette for a CD head unit and I am on my 3 windshield.
I am thinking it is just a bad design.
Maybe I should install a regular antenna but I would hate to cut my car!
I have exactly the same problem. I am actually on my 5th repair attempt. Mine is so bad the static can almost drown out the radio on lower band FM. The dealer has replaced the head unit twice, some FM modulator, and now they are going to put a "buffer" that a GM engineer has suggested will fix the problem. I'll update this thread when the repair is done on monday.
This problem is not on all cars. I have driven two other coupes that have perfect reception.
Brian,
I think I can solve your problem :D 1)Turn off the radio 2) Open up the windows 3) Listen to the purr of the exhaust under heavy throttle :seeya
