Replacing harmonic balancer help!!

Can anyone tell me if the fans and sway bar needs removed to pull the steering rack out of the way so I can replace the harmonic balancer?

If I remember correctly. Sway yes. Fans no but depending on your tools your puller might not fit easily or you could have a hard time getting a ratchet onto the pulley/installer.

Taking the swaybar off lets you reach the balancer easier from the bottom. I took my fans out but it could be done without pulling them. They're easy to take out.

I did not remove either and was able to remove and replace it as well as pin it. It may make life a little easier though the more stuff you can get out of the way. This is a PINA job.
