Has anyone had the problem of having their doors lock with the motor running when they were out of their car to use an ATM, grab a paper, etc.? The "auto lock" feature is off. When the motor is off with the key in the ignition, it never does it. Only with the motor running. Any ideas?
Same problem happened to me at the mailbox a few months ago. Car (2001) was running, didn't touch the key FOB. Got out to mail a letter and couldn't get back in. And I know I unlocked the doors to get out. Nothing like running 6 blocks home and 6 blocks back while your car is left running at the mailbox to get your spare keys. Now I never get out of the car when it is running without lowering the drivers window.
Very strange. Maybe your car doesn't like you. Or it's an anti-terrorism algorithm trying to protect the car from hijackers. Seriously, have you checked the diagnostic codes?
As previously mentioned make sure that the DIC autolock feature is turned off as well your key/fob passive system.
I have been locked out of my car once (thank god with the ignition off) while gassing up and ended up having to walk home to get the other keys. Not fun :nopity ... Now I don't use the passive lock system and have had no problems.
