Default Molding around windshield - part numbers needed

Anyone have them? I am talking about the molding that is required to be replaced when replacing the windshield.

Thanks

Check with GM Partshouse or Mid America Motorworks. The bad thing is no aftermarket companies make this piece of weatherstrip. It will cost you about $450 for just the weatherstrip.

Are you referring to item #21 or #18?

#21 10299765 - Shows to be "1420mm" in length (56 1/4"~)
#18 10333466 - Weatherstrip (with W/S upper reveal molding)

Not exactly sure. Is #18 the weatherstrip you need to replace when replacing a windshield? I had heard the reveal molding needs to be replaced. I assumed it is the molding around the outside of the windshield.

No, #18 is the main, or primary, weatherstripping that each door glass seals against and also your removable roof panel as well. It is all one piece and expensive, but it only needs to be replaced if it is damaged, torn, etc.

A reputable car glass replacement company can assist you. They do this for a living and can tell you specifically what they would replace when R&Ring a windshield. I would ask them if they are proficient in replacing C5 Corvette windshields or if they have done this procedure before and if possible, check their reputation where you are.

No, it is not. GM part #10427732 is used across the top of the glass on Hardtops (only) during windshield replacement.

Thanks, that will save me over 450.00 in parts. I can't believe the price of some of the weatherstriping for this vehicle...It's been completely disassembled at a hot rod shop for a paint job..
