Default Window Valet Question

I just bought a window valet and set it up, the problem is it linked up OK and the windows went down and then up as the instructions stated. Then when I try to use it to raise the windows they go to the top and then back down. Even with the doors open, it thinks the window stop is resistance before it is shut. Any body ever dealt with this?

Yep!

I have the same issue. Since I hardly ever have a situation where I would like to use the feature, I don't worry about it.

The other features are so great, it is worth a minor inconvenience to have them.

I live in Florida, so use the auto down feature all the time. Really helps dissipate heat and makes entry easier.

I love the Window Valet. Tremendous utility overall. But, I have the same kind of problem. That is, when "triple clicking" the remote to raise both windows at the same time, both windows go up and go right back down maybe 75% of the time.

My problem seems to be related to the fact that the right window hits top of travel about one full second after the left window does.

My cheap no money/no effort "fixes" are:

(1) If the top is aready up ... raise the right window with the normal door mounted window control switch before shutting down, exit the car, shut the left door, and then use the remote "triple click" to raise the left window;

or,

(2) If the top needs to be raised ... with both windows down, get out and shut left door, then raise the top and reach in and secure the left side of the top. Then walk around and reach in and secure the right side of the top. THEN.... open the right door slightly and "triple click" to raise both windows. The right window now moves with much less restriction than the left window since the left door is still closed and the right door is ajar. Both windows now reach top of travel at about the same time and stay up. Then shut the right door.

The first trick of closing only the left window with the "triple click" works 100% of the time. The second trick works about 90-95% of the time when closing both windows with the triple click.

Hope this helps.

Have you run through the calibration feature of the WV? Try it if you have not.
