I didn't think John was powdercoating anymore because of the solvent used when cleaning could cause discoloration. Mine are shot peened and have anodized black centers. Welcome to the CCW family, great looking car and wheels.
I have been running 335's on 11.5" wheels with no rubbing (no tubbing either)what so ever! You just can't run over -.24 camber but you you really don't need too because the tires are very fat.
You have some very HOT WHEELS.......!
John @ CCW did you right..................
Personally, I love his drag set-up.
It works well........ very well...................
John told me that he won't powdercoat due to durability of the coating. In other words, if you scratch the coating, the shiny aluminum will show through.
Since I haven't gotten my wheels yet, I'll have to call him again today and discuss the situation further. My C-5 is black, and I definitely wanted black centers, but not flat black centers. Maybe anodized, and THEN clear powdercoated.
I'm not really clear about John's concerns, however, since I had a set of Enkei wheels many years ago that were polished aluminum rims with gloss black centers, and had no durability issues.
