fuel pressure regulator location?
Locations:
1st c5s: FPR on fuel rail
2nd: in the fuel tank?
3rd: in line, a fuel filter/FPR combo installed on frame rail under car.
So, I have a 2002, so it should be the 3rd choice....BUT, I have a FPR on the fuel rail crossover line over my ls6 intake. Im guessing someone swapped this FPR (or added it
) to remove this restriction on the stock later model c5's. I wanna make sure, as I've heard that no matter what you throw at a fuel issue (bigger pump, injectors, hotwire kit, boost a pump, etc), it may not help or be necessary until the stock restriction is removed (restrictive FPR not mounted on fuel rail)
Thanks for any input y'all have

You either have an aftermarket FPR, someone installed a 97-98 rail, or you are assumming what you see on your 2002 rail is a FPR, and did not even bother to look at the frame rail location for the filter/regulator.
No, I haven't looked under the frame rail yet.....anything doing with the bottom of this car seems to get held off until I have a few good hours to work with it and other things to service under there. And to think I wanna lower another inch.
If you only have 1 line going to the fuel rail what your looking at is a pulse damper not a regulator.
I only have one fuel line to the rail, so it must be a pulse damper.....which is I term I've never heard before.
thanks for the input guys. I had to goggle pulse damper
