Default C5 Dash Cluster

I have just purchased a 2001 C5 Convert. It was a Canadian car and has the metric guages. Is it hard to switch them over to US gauges? What do I need and does the ECM need to be reprogrammed? Is there a replacement ECM or is it something else that calculates the temp and oil pressure? The guages are kind of cool thought the speed-o-meter goes to 300MPH. :chevy

Not too hard if you have the right tools and a little patience. Check out this link, it will be helpful:

Once the new guages are installed can't you just toggle to get out of metric mode? I can toggle back and forth on my car?!?!?

Good luck!

Thanks a lot for the link. Yeah I can toggle to get to metric/US but I didn't know if I needed a different ECM because the car was made for Canada. If it's just the guages then are the factory guages a good replacement Idea or should I get some kind of aftermarket guages?

why do you want to replace the gauges if you can toggle to US mode?

the 300 MPH speedometer looks really cool!
I may be intrested in trading you?

Hi from a Canadian,

There is no difference other than the cluster, I would
just toggle between, metric and US. The 300 MPH spedo
is Impressive.
