Dont know the number, but Comp makes a 224/228 .550/.550(ish) 114LSA cam that is powerful, but tame enough to even be used as an emissions passing cam here in California. Not loud and lobey, but can make 400whp on the M6 with 243 heads.
Another version of the same cam has .583/.588 or close to that.
I had a 224/224 112+4 in my 346 with patriot 243s. I trapped a best of 118 in my 02 coupe in Illinois heat. I loved that cam. Made 412rwhp on a mustang dyno
Small (modest?) works well especially to meet your objectives. I have installed one of the Lunati Voodoo series cams with durations of 217/223 and 0.549 lift for both sides. It has an LSA of 113 and still passes Kali smog easily. Used a canned tune and other hardware you described although I did kick up the CR slightly. Must say my daily driver works very well and not tempermental at all. Power DOES come on in RPM range as advertised. Also, very little noticable lope although I did adjust idle up 50 RPMs to make sure. More chop than anything else. Still have exceptional fuel mileage on trips. No rear wheel numbers for you.
These cams don't appear in these pages nor do I see much mention in LS1tech either. But, Lunati does have more than several Voodoo grinds available for your needs. Look at thier website and you may be pleased -- maybe not. Good luck...
I am also a fan of small cams. When I ran stock cubes I had a 220-224 115+2 on Comp XER lobes that I really liked. It passed smog without issue if that is important to you. It had just a hint of lope and drove like stock.
I had no confidence in my ability to pick a cam, so I went to Patrick Guerra to spec one for me based on my setup and my performance criteria. A $25 well spent! I would also suggest checking out Youtube for various clips to see if the sound is to your liking.
I ended up putting in an EPS 222/226 115+3 over the winter (with 243 heads), and would say it is barely detectable. Bump idle by 50, and it would be undetectable. Power really comes on around 2500 rpm, and all the way up compared to the stock LS1 cam.
Probably not what he is after, seeing as he said he did not want that.
I dont see how that cam could possibly make a muscle car sound with that low of duration and that high of LSA... Probably just a marketing catch phrase. That is a weak cam. But since it says that, I would not go for it if I didnt want that sound.

They'll lope easily on a 230 duration, but you would think the LSA might offset it a bit. Maybe they're just marketing it hard.
Just listening around on youtube I think I can get away with the TR224, seems like some cars you can hear it worse then others, which I am betting its either different LSA's or maybe just bumping the idle a bit.. They seem to make over 400 which would be great for me.. Still looking around but it might be a strong canidate.. Cant beat a proven design I guess
