Install TR6060 in C5 Questions
I have run into a couple snags and need some more help from anyone who has done this.
Does the trans swap put the shaft to the transmission higher the the C5? I noticed the motor seems to sit a little higher in the back. Before the swap I was able to take my FAST 92 intake out of the car and now it is right up against the the top of the firewall.
Are the C5 and C6 spindles the same dimensionally? The part numbers are not the same but the connections appear to be in the same spots.
Has anyone left the trans and rear cooling from the C6 on the car. I left both on. It appears to me the rear end cooling pipes that come out the top are hitting the trunk floor and the cooling line that goes into the bottom of the rear end is very close to the main spring if not rubbing once you move the transmission forward with the offset mounts.
