Key Fobs Are Cheap?

Hey Everyone.

I have a 2002 Z. Is this the correct fob? I don't know why I had it in my mind that these things cost a small fortune?

It is missing the slider for "passive" locks, and the auction does say it's used. But if you don't care about the motion sensor in it, that looks like it'll work. For that price, why not try it, you can always resell.

2002 didn't have the passive lock/unlock switch.....

It's the right number for your 02. You can buy the 01-04 fobs all day long on ebay cheap and sometimes get free shipping. Not the same for earlier fobs.

I picked up a (used) fob for my '01 in December for $10 shipped off eBay. Great purchase and works flawlessly.

wish I could find a low priced one for a 2000. all I see are 200 to 300.

Just checked two of the Corvette Forum sponsoring online GM parts vendors... their asking prices are in the $60 range for a 2000 Corvette keyless entry transmitter (aka "fob").
