Default GHL Help..

Is it me or is damn near impossible to keep the tips on my GHL catback level with each other??

Any suggestions on how to get them to stay in place??

Thanks

I'm sure adding a few welds would help.....but I haven't yet

I have to re-level mine all the time. It seems as soon as I hit the throttle really hard, one side drops just a tad.

I have had the same problem since i put them. The only time they stayed put was when i had some work done at the dealer, I had one of the techs (a buddy) straighten them out again and he hit the bolts with the air ratchet pretty snug. This worked fine until i took the tips off to paint the valance and now they fall every now and again. I thought about having them welded but dont want to give up the ability to remove the tips for polishing.

Mine dip a little sometimes. Until I really get on the clamp and tighten the heck out of it !

Just drill a hole through each overlap and run a stainless self tapping screw through both pipes.

Another owner of GHL with crooked tips. I have to adjust them every so often. Small price to pay for a fantastic sounding exhaust.

I had/have a harder time getting them actually aligned perfectly than getting them to stay put.

Once you get them aligned (mine's as close as I can get them without wanting to commit a felony), heat cycle them. Once they cool off, you'll be able to torque them some more. If your car is not a DD, do this a couple of times without driving the car since driving the car will move them a little.

My tips never move regardless of how I drive.
