tire monetor/key fob problems
I am hoping someone here can help me with a persistant problem I have.
My 00 vette intermittantly sets low tire pressure warrnings.The dealer cant duplicate the complaint as it is verry intermittant.There are new tires on the car
but the problem has been going on before the tires were installed.The dealer did fing a service bulliten about the wheels and found 1 bad wheel that was replaced.The problem seems to occure when the air temp is warm(above 20-25degrees c.As well my key fobs intermittantly loose there memory.I know they opperate the same way as the tire moneter system and think they may be related.

Are you having any other electrical gremlins, such as losing your memory buttons, radio presets. Check you battery terminal. If not, remove positive and reinstall after 1-2 minutes. This sometimes aids in the computer to boot out any gremlins/bugs it may have. Remember to re-assign the FOBs by holding the Lock/Unlock buttons for 5-7 seconds. When the horn beeps, they are reprogrammed.

No other gremlins.Just the low tire light and int key fob loss.I think there might be bcm codes I am going to check them tomorrow.The fobs will sincronise and work but then they loose there memory.I will post any codes that I find.

The 2 systems are controlled by the same module...Time to replace it :yesnod: The power door lock control module that is,located in the left rear quarter area under the trim panel...
