Oh yeah. You know the drill. Who has secrets they are willing to share about maintaining my black paint job. Yes, I now own 3 cars that are black and yes....I AM crazy.
Polish with Menzerna PO85RD (Super Finish 4500) and a DA polisher. Use the two bucket wash method with grit guards and a quality mitt. Pat dry with a quality waffle weave cotton towel, don't rub.
You'll get all sorts of responses on different brands of wax to use.
Most waxes are pretty much the same basic chemical, some are better than others but they're pretty much the same thing IMO.
There's a product called "Glaze" which you need to buff on which is made for dark colors and makes black cars look great.
An easy solution I did for a black car I used to own is do a good wash and wax at my house, and then I went to a coin car wash and sprayed the spray wax on the car for 4 straight minutes. It left a super thick layer of wax on the car which lasted literally for 5 years.
There's also a new wax on the market which is different from other waxes, I've used it and it repels water/dirt/dust/mud more than you can imagine. Its great because once you apply it, you can just spray the car down with water and it washes it pretty clean.

BIG DEAL!!!
In my family fleet, there are 4 black cars and a black 4x4. I haven't had anything but a black car since the 70s....
Seriously, though, when necessary, I use the well known Porter-Cable random orbital buffer, with a 6" foam pad and Griot's Garage #3 or #4 Machine Polish. I used to use Zaino products to finish up with, but got tired of having to 'mail order' the stuff. I got a free sample of the Surf City Garage 'Nano Glaze' and 'Nano Seal', as well as their 'Speed Demon' detailer. That's all I've been using for the last 3 years.
But, as others have said, there are other good products out there....
