Is C5 drain plug magnetic?
Do C5's come with a magnetic drain plug from the factory?

Don't thnk so-- CAU sells the set for oil, tranny, and diff for like $20 :cheers:

No. I was at a dealer with a friend, and they swapped the nonmagnetic for a magnetic plug for him for free. I think I paid less than $5.00 to get one - I just added it to an order from Ken that I was getting anyway.

the new gm part is a magnetic engine oil drain plug. Just go to the gm dealer and buy the new one!!! I did.

The replacement part is magnetic, but they are not delivered with one. Go figure.

My '01 did not come with the magnetic, I got one from Ken Fitchner.

Engine pan plug, MN6 transmission plug, and differenetial plug are all different. :yesnod:
