Default Six Shooter Couplers

I've been doing some research on these and I was wondering if anyone had input they'd like to share. From what I've read there really isn't anything bad being said, there's just not much info overall though.
Thanks for any input.

I've had them for over a year now and no issues. The ONLY issue I ever recall seeing was a picture posted one time some months ago, in which the poly in the couplers was partially melted from exhaust heat on someone's car. That was the only negative I have seen/heard before, or since.

I already had a ¼" thick aftermarket tunnel plate that is ceramic coated, but I went ahead and installed one of Elite Engineering's insulators as an additional precaution.

Thanks for the reply. I actually already have that plate so I might be ahead of the game for once.

Just protect them from too much heat and you should be good.
