I love to spank Mustangs...!
:seeya Well in my last outing at the track I was learning how to warm up the Nittos and I was playing with the tire pressure and the burnout duration and so on. This 01' Mustang Cobra CVT pulls next to me in the staging lane and starts talkin' the talk about his 'stang just loves to run vettes. That the nitrous gives him a win every time. and so on and so on.... :sleep: I'm really just laughing inside and I can't wait until we get to the tree..I mean I am going to toast this guy, even with my inexperience with the new DR's....I can't wait :D

Notice the spot where the nitrous hits and his car ceases to drive in a straight line... :lol: Or maybe it was the clear taillights that gave him the added HP? Either way- nice driving... :cheers:

The race was over at the tree. Excellent job overall, but the poor guy had no chance. At least he stayed on it to keep the embarrassment down!. He should have faked a miss shift or something to save face!

Weekly event here with the late model stangs....but there are a few Fox bodied ones that kick our butt! :D We will be at Bradenton early Sat for Test & Tune Vince...the track will be prepped really good....try to make it if your up for the drive! You can cool down in the motor home w/us between runs. :cheers: Tracy & Emily

You dusted him. He had a cinder dinner. Wish I had run him. I was called out over the loudspeakers by a ragged out rustang, old 5.0 with headers, slicks, skinnies, weigh only about 2500lbs,all stripped out inside, with 250 shot of NX. He ran a 11.8 to my 12.1 :cry I told him next time we race the mile...he beat me to the quarter without blowing up but I could have waved bye bye if we had anothe half mile. Well, you never loose to the rustangs...for if the do get a lower et...they drive home in a rustang and you in America's sportcar :D

Nice pass! I agree, I don't think it was a cobra. The guy's biggest mistake was not putting a little more heat in the tires, then instead of pedalling it a little - HE GOES FULL ON and is left behind spinning.
Would have been nice to see a "best 2 out of 3" run. :D Still a great video, nice pass with your car. Keep the vid's coming!!!

Yup, Mustangs are tasty but I prefer to eat them with my pickup truck. The Vette's no fun. "502 SS" Chevy truck, 611HP, 615 ft. lbs. Motor goes by he name Rodan. Just smoked a Cobra last week with a bunch of lumber and a wheelbarrow in the back. It don't get no better than that.

Walt, are you the guy a number of years ago who raced his Black SS454 truck with a big block at Ennis are you? This guy had a marine big block in it and it ran like a spotted ape!
