Rebuilding trans, help on 5th gear countershaft

Default Rebuilding trans, help on 5th gear countershaft
so i'm in the middle (well 1/4 way) of a disassemble, stuck at the moment. What holds the 5th gear countershaft in place, if anything at all, can it come out as one piece? well after I remove the fork
I dont see anything holding it in currently, thanks

found this is another thread of the parts, from the looks, it should slide out. i just dont want to go yanking on anything, so just making sure
