Default Switching out Interior Panels C5 Z06

Well guys i have been looking around for somebody to trade me seats for some torch red/black z06 seats (currently have an all black Z06 interior) and luckily at a local meet i found a guy not only willing to trade seats but also red interior pieces such as door panels, glove compartment, and all the other pieces with the red trim on them. I was curious on how hard it is to remove all these pieces since me and this other individual plan on doing it ourselves... can i get some input from some of you who have had experience with this before or a link to an existing thread on instructions on how to remove the pieces? I have included pictures so you can see what will be removed. Pretty much everything with a red trim thanks!

Not too much work to swap over these pieces. I would start by removing seats first. Then you will have plenty of room to remove knee pad and glove box. Hardest part is removing the seats make sure to protect plastic trim pieces so you don't scratch them while removing and installing seats. Door panels have torx screws under cover by door handle. Need to remove these screws and then rest of panel pops off.
Take your time and it should take maybee 3 hours to remove and reinstall the new pieces. While the seats are out clean the carpets.

I removed my black interior pieces and installed the Mod red doors, glove box, and knee bolster. I have different seats.

The doors were fairly easy. Get a door panel popper. Get PLASTIC tools so as not to scratch the paint ! The lower part of the door has a bunch of push pins that will pop off when pried at with the above tools. Remove the screws in the hidden panel behind the door handle. Remove the window switches, and unplug them.

Don't forget the RPO code sticker in your glove box. It shows all of the options on your car and the VIN number. Keep that with your car.

Don't forget to swap over the locking mechanism from the glove box. Your key will not open his glove box.

Be sure to lay a thick towel over your door sills when removing the seats so you don't scratch anything.

I can't believe he is removing the Mod Red from his Silver car. To me the color combo just works... I think it was one of my favorite appearance mods to date !

Only about 15% of C5's made were Z06's, and only 18.7% of Z06's had the Mod Red interior.... Makes for a rare combo in the future...

I just swapped out my glove box & knee bolster with Mod Red this past weekend.(Already have the seats, and still looking for some clean door panels)
For the glove box removal .... one screw on the side by the door jam, 3 or 4 more screws at the top of the compartment when the glove box door is open. Lastly there are 2 round plastic access panels that have to be remove to expose 2 - 10mm nuts that hold the compartment to the dash area.
Good luck with the switch over....

Well ive been thinking... if i dont think im going to find anybody who will be willing to trade me the interior pieces but if i buy some it might be kind of hard to sell my stock ones since they are just plain black... It might be just as costly to get them painted... What do you guys think?
