Is this a fake Walbro?
So, I just got done piecing together a custom secondary fuel system similar to the A&A kit. Being on a budget, I looked for the best prices I could find. I ended up buying a GSL392 Walbro in-line pump. I ordered it from www.gsl392.com, which is a sister site of www.fuelpumps.com. The sites seem pretty legit.
I placed the order last Friday and got the pump today, from LA to southern Indiana. The service was great.
Anyways, the pump comes today and I had a couple of concerns. First, there's this green mark, which appears to be from a permanent marker. Second, there are stress cracks in the case, which appear to be from the drawing process. Third, the patent number is missing. If it's a fake, it's a really good one. I just wanted someone to verify whether it's good or not. I don't want to kill a brand new engine because I tried to save $20. I'll buy another one and toss this one in the trash before I risk it.
