A few years ago I needed new Tire Pressure Sensors. I found a tutorial on Corvette Forum here, and learned just enough to be dangerous.
Honestly, I felt there was a LOT left to be desired in the tutorial, so I created my rebuild guide I learned not only how to rebuild 1997-2000 sensors but also 2001 through 2005 of which I've successfully rebuilt countless sensors.
Here's a link to the tutorial. Tell me what you think
No idea how many replies you might get on this but wanted to thank you for a nice tutorial. I've bookmarked it for future reference. It's input and effort like yours that make the Corvette Forum the awesome place it is. Well done, young man!

Hey thanks much for your kind complements! This is only half the tutorial... hopefully I can get the remaining videos loaded to youtube after my vacation
I also have a video on how to make really really heavy duty jack pucks in there
Let me know if you guys find it useful!
You don't have one on how to poop out a '99 steering wheel position sensor, by chance, do you?! Good ol' GM figures that part of the Active Handling is not needed anymore!! LOL (I'm only messing with you! I need to rebuild my tire sensors, too...)

Thankfully no... I hate to put it that way but I haven't had that problem (yet) knock on wood.
If I do I'd be happy to share what I learn though. Is there another post on the forum for replacing the steering wheel position sensor?

Several. The problem being that the C5's had 3 different types of steering wheel position sensors: 1997-98, 1999-2000 and 2001-04. The 1st and 3rd you can still buy at Auto Zone for $60 but the 2nd one was a $350 dealer only part and they discontinued making it and nobody else does either.

Thanks for the heads up. That sucks lol
So where is the position sensor located? Is it located on the rack or in the column? Forgive my novice I haven't worked on steering stuff much.
However, I have been seriously considering doing a tutorial on aligning your own tires. The shop has messed up my car every single time I've taken it in, which well, sucks lol And pretty much the only thing I ever take my cars in for is tire stuff like alignments, mounting and balancing.
