I have an 2000 corvette my dic codes are p 1571 h c,c0710 c h,b2723 i know what the codes mean.but from other scanners the codes come up different at advance auto as b1243,c1232,c1233 with an autoscan plus cp30 actron hand held scanner.another hand held scanner which has cardtriges came up with the codes c1232,c1233,c1277.i didn't see the hand held scanner codes my self but they seem to be consistent .the messages i'm getting from my dic is service active/handling controls.service ride control my abs light is on. when i clear the code in the rtd c0710 the active/handling button works for about 2 to 3 clicks of the button it says active/handling is on the abs light is gone.it has no effect on the ride control message can anyone help with some suggestions what going on with these different codes..the b1243 bmpv could this cause the steering wheel code and the lf,lr wheel sensor codes please help.
The DTC codes shown on the cars DIC are better than most OBDII code readers. You will not always get correct codes from other than a Tech II scanner because a lot of the OBDII scanners only access the Power-train control codes and not the BCM or EBTCM codes (or more acuarately, the BCM & EBTCM codes are undefined in other than GM's TEch II scanner).
As far as your current codes:
P1571 means that the desired torque signal is not received by the PCM from the EBTCM (Electronic Brake Traction Control Module)
C0710 means that, The ESC (Electronic Suspension Control) module detects an invalid steering position PWM signal from the EBTCM.
B2723 Means that, The voltage level sampled at the BCMs (Body Control Module) PASS-Key® signal circuit is high, signaling that an invalid PASS-Key® resistance was detected, and a short to voltage or an open circuit is present.
The first two are coming from a problem in the EBTCM.
The B2723 is related to the chip in the ignition switch/key.
THANKS for the infro i'm going to do some research on that module and see what might be my next move,i'm thinking about cleaning all my grounds for a start.
