A bad gear. Just replace it with a new motor/ the kits for rebuild (gears etc) do not WORK every time work. The gear is spinning replace it before the gear is really shot and then the motor is hard to raise up// DON,T WASTE THE TIME AND MONEY IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN// joe

Yea I have the same problem right now. I'm just waiting for the gear that I ordered to come in so I can replace it. It's very simple to fix

Its that dang plastic gear mine did the same thing last week replaced the gear with a Napa Auto parts # 665-2137 (Headlight motor gear) $15.00 in stock swapped it out and all works great

My motor and gear were replaced, now when I turn the headlights off the headlight goes up and down about 5-7 times before stopping and it never stops in the down position. I'm very new to these cars, so any help would be appreciated.
