I am about to do a head and cam swap on my 01. I didn’t want to touch the exhaust I love the way my Corsa cat back sounds. But MANY people are telling me I should do headers with a head and cam swap. So my question to anyone who can help what is most quiet performance exhaust setup you have herd on a C5? Who makes the quietest long tube/ shorty and X-pipe I could just bolt up to my Corsa?
Pick a quality set of headers with an x-pipe. They are all going to be noisier. As for exhausts, I have Corsa Touring and it is quiet while cruising. The quietest would be stock Z06 Titanium exhaust.
I just added head and headers (XS Power) to my 224/224-114 cam and Z06 exhaust. Headers definitely make the car louder. I don't hear much from the back but under the hood, you'll know it. My x-pipe is catted but it definitely smells more than the stock cats. Added power was amazing though so you'll have to decide if it's worth it.
What cam are you going with? My cam is fairly old and wonder if I there's anything newer I should consider that won't idle any worse than this one. Planning on oil pump, timing chain, balancer soon so while I'm in it I might consider a cam swap.
I have a Callaway catback, no cats, turbo manifolds and x pipe, cam not too lopey. It is quiet at idle, sounds nearly stock while romping on it. I have electric cutouts to give me the option to get silly loud. Where are you located? I was considering swapping someone for a louder exhaust such as corsa or borla. This callaway kit is extremely great quality and expensive
I can always make and post a vid of my car
I agree. I have headers, x-pipe w/ cats, and the ti exhaust. Sound is very nice - not loud at all until you really get into it. Plus the ti's are about the lightest thing you can get for a catback.

First, which Corsa do you already have? Touring, Pace, or Extreme?
Second, how long a period of time and how many miles since the Corsa cat back system was new?

Thanks for the info. If there is anyway you could email me a sound clip, that would be great. I might buy the same headers. I have been pointed to the same cam as you. But I think I am going custom, and I am going to have the heads CnC'd.

Take a look at the B&B Route 66 exhaust. The systems look amazing and perform better than stock with only a mild increase in sound. I had a Corsa on my 02 vert when I bought it and wasn't a fan of the idle sound they have. Definitely going to want to listen to some clips.
I am thinking about getting some LG streets. Anyone here run them, and have feedback? Or maybe sound clips I could hear? I dont mind loud when I am beating on it. I just want quite when "cruising" thats how my Corsa is now, nice and deep and loud when I want it to be
Here you go The first was taken with Billi Boats and American Racing headers and X pipe no cats. This vid was taken on a busy street out of another corvette.
Here is same exhaust but with ZO6 Tis. This is with the cam off my phone.

Finally got video. IMHO, the heads and headers changed the character of the car more than I thought it would. I'm getting use to it though. Wish the exhaust didn't smell so much. As crazy as it may be, I'm tempted to see if I can graf the stock H-pipe onto the headers or maybe see if it can be tuned cleaner at idle.
