Hi, I'm hoping that someone can help me... Every time I hit 82 mph in my 2000 Corvette the ABS/Traction Control/Active Handling lights come on and I get code C1226 which is for excessive wheel speed variation. I tried swapping the speed sensor harnesses between the front left and front right wheels but I still got the exact same code.
I have ordered two new speed sensor harnesses which I'll try just in case it is the harness, and also a new wheel bearing/sensor hub which I'm hoping will fix the problem, but I have two questions that I'm hoping you can help with. Has anyone see this before, where the problem is at a very specific speed only? The second is, does anyone know for certain if C1226 is the front left or the front right wheel? I have seen lists of codes that say it is the front left, but many forums say it is actually the front right?
Thanks. I will put my new hub on the front right and hope it works. Still don't know why the light triggers only at 82mph... hopefully it isn't the EBCM...
Everything is standard on my car, and all my tires have equal wear. I could probably do with an alignment but I've had this problem for years now, so I don't think its that.
