I had replaced the master cylinder, no help. Pads were new, rotors turned, new SS lines. The car didn't have enough braking power to activate the ABS.
I finally decided after pressure bleeding several times, to let the dealer pressure bleed and activate the ABS pump etc that I can't do, and that was the problem.
Must have been air in the ABS lines or something, bucause now it is as it should be.
I rarely let others work on my car, but I have an excellent dealer and for these things, they treat me well.

The procedure this dealer is speaking of is specifically designed to cycle the pump/valves in the BPMV to remove any trapped air while bleeding the system. It is referred to as "Auto Bleed" and requires the use of a Tech II scan/diagnostic tool (or similar) to accomplish.
It is not normally done, nor is it usually necessary, when doing the routine brake jobs and/or flushing/bleeding brake fluid.
It was $142. They also said they used synthetic brake fluid?? Not sure if that is good or bad.

Its not too bad tho when you figure you got abs working now. Wheel lockup and sliding into the car in front of you cost a lot more. Good thing you figured it out though.

Not to mention a whole lot cheaper than buying a Tech II, or OTC diagnostic tool.
