Cooling issue SOLVED!

So I called my friend VinceG (forum member) for advice. He told me he felt there had to be air in the system and told me about the burp tube at the front of the heads, so I searched the forum, found a thread and picture of it and followed the procedure. VinceG also told me he fills his overflow tank up to the plastic piece that you see if you look down into the tank when you take the cap off.
After following all the instructions and letting the car idle in the driveway for a few minutes I check the temp and it's at 172
Usually it's up to 190 or so by now. So I take it out on the road, outside temp is about 82 degrees, after a mile coolant temp is 178, I keep driving and it raises to 190, I get on the freeway and drove it hard for a few miles and the temp gets to 198. Finally back on the street sitting at a long stop light the temp rose to 203 but went down to 201 seconds after taking off from the light. I have NEVER seen coolant temps this low in this car under the same weather and driving conditions EVER! I even drove the whole time in 3rd gear (A4) which usually brings the temp up a few degrees compared to driving in drive/OD.
Found the pic and writeup on the burp tube here:

Real easy, it's at the front/top of the engine, easy to get to and takes a 10mm wrench or socket.
Thanks to VinceG and to the Forum members that posted tips.
