Default Oil consumption

I have experienced oil usage after car was setting about three weeks, did some driving car seemed to run fine but was smoking a little on startup, and then went away. It ended up using about a quart in 2-3 hours of driving. Next day drove to the track made several passes, checked oil all night after first couple of runs no change and no smoking issues, drove the car about 100 miles the next day as well still no oil consumption. It appears whatever it is only occurs after car has been sitting for awhile, and once it gets driven some it goes away, could this be valve seats or something like that or rings not seating properly, I have not noticed this being a problem but had been driving it frequently until this 3 week layover. I had put car up for sale and had been trying not to drive it. It's 2001 Z with 40,000 miles. intake exhaust mild cam dual valve springs, nothing to wild or out of the ordinary, anyways what do you guys think, I have it for sale so want to make sure there is not any issues to pass on to potential buyer.

Blue smoke on engine startup is a classic symptom of leaky valve stem seals.

Is it a big deal, something that I should be worried about, or someone else if I go thru with sale, if I keep it I would watch oil obviously but I would like to have it fixed as well, what all does it entail???

As I recall, many 2001 Z06 Corvettes had an oil consumption problem. GM corrected the problem with the 2002 models.
