I posted this on the Scan & Tune forum, however, I think maybe it belongs here:
I was never a major wrench, and getting back into Corvettes at age 70 can be a bit bewildering. Anyway, the one I love is a 2001 coupe which came to me with mild breathing and wire mods and also this statement "Street tuned with HP Tuners".
I just changed out the battery yesterday, and I'm wondering if the loss of 12V power could affect the tune. I'm not taking it out on the road until the rain stops, so I won't be able to "feel" the difference (if any) for a while.
Can someone tell me if the tune was affected during the battery changeout? sam
The tune will not be affected by the battery replacement, but it will take a bit of driving for the ECM to relearn the idle and fuel trims, before things are the same as before the battery power was disconnected.
Thanks. Good to have another Corvette, finally.
The way I've got it figured, this place is gonna save me money on repairs, and cost me money on upgrades. sam

Fill out your profile, and tell us a little about yourself and your Corvette, when you have a chance.
Then we can all help you spend your money!
