Default Column lock, wait 10 seconds

I have a 98 M6, vette has been sitting about a week, but did notice last week that my right front turn signal did not work in the morn but after driving awhile it started to workand did this for a few days. Now after vette sitting a week I went out to just give it a start, I get the pull key wait 10 secs and then steering column locked, but it is not locked, and once I try to move past 2 mph she quits. My battery is only a year old, I checked fuse"25
on pass side well. I did get stuck in a storm about 2 weeks ago and service engine light came on once but never came back on again after that .I am not really mechanically incline so this forum questions on this has been a little confusing, any help greatly appreciated.

Without a little mechanical inclination this could be a bit tough for you. Do you have a friend that is or perhaps a contact in a local Vette club that could help you out???

I suggest that you watch the video below and then pull and write down carefully the codes for your car including the H or C or HC that follow the 5 position codes.

Post the codes back here please.

What I did was clear the codes, then started car , got the wait 10 sec and then steeringcolumn lock, so then I pulled codes and pcm showed no codes, in fact all showed no codes except for ldcm AO B2284 H and A1 DCMB 2285 H , but these have always been there as I use the key only, no fob.Should I just order LMC5, or maybe check the battery, turn signal is working this morn. Right now I am having the password relearned, turn ignition on 11 mins, wait 30 secs, repeat 4 times, hoping this may help, Am I going down the wrong path? I also just did another diagnostic, I get AL LDCM B2282H B2284H U1064H in addition to above, little jumbled because I wrote down so fast before knowing you can do this manually. Now these have shown since I got the car 3 months ago, never a prob before. Owner said cannot use fob and had to use key, there is a notch in key that when you input key the notch must be on top.

Well I charged the battery over night, still same problem "wait 10 sec" and then service steering colum, ran diagnostic and got code 28-TC1255H, howver there is no abs indicator light on,no traction control light on, no service abs light on, I also cleaned my key with alcohol, is that just merely wiping key down? I ordered lmc5, maybe that will do the trick, open for any suggestions.

On mine I unbolted and re-attached the ground point on the passenger A-pillar. That cured the problem for whatever reason. I bought a LMC5 and Unlocker in case it does it again.

Well, I just went out to garage and removed battery tender(placed on after I charged the battery) left on for about 1/2 hr, I then cleared the code, started her up, no codes, backed her out of garage, drove about 5 mins, returned to garage, started her about 3 times, no codes!! I am confused(but happy). think I will join AAA today, need piece of mind, don't mind this beautiful car breaking down, just want to be able to get her back home.(I sound like Mama Bear)LOL!!! I am still going to install the LMC5 this week!!
