Numb Nuts Question

At the risk of displaying public stupidity, how does one remove the black plastic frame around the rear license plate on a '98 C5? Georgia just issued new tags, and I must have figured it out in 2002 when I bought the thing, but old age and maybe a few Jack Daniels too many, and I just don't remember.

Look close & you will see slot/slit on each side of the frame.

Push a small screwdriver into the slots/slits & push the tabs back while pulling the frame towards you.

Hey man don't sweat the questions. I replaced the back up lights a couple of weeks ago and I had to think about it for a minute. It drives me nuts when the simple stuff evades me.
bumble-z has it right on the money.
I'll be in GA in a few weeks getting the final tweaks on my tune. I hope the weather shapes up for the drive.

just be careful when doing it. it's very easy to break the tabs.

I know because I've done it many times
