Default TPMS problems

Hello, I have a question. When I go to gauges and check my tire pressure the front right tire reads XXX which I know that the sensor needs to be replaced but when I try to reset the TPMS with the magnet I can not get the horn to beep on the first tire which is the front left. My question is if that one sensor on the right front is not working will it not let me reset the whole system? Thanks. I have a 2003 vette.

You should be able to reset the others.

So if i can't get the first tire to make the horn beep I may have another problem like the TPMS module?

This is interesting I have the same problem with an 04, I am about to change all four wheel sensors, but will wait to see the outcome on this thread. I am not trying to hijack the thread but where is the TPMS module located?

Can I assume if the FOB's are working correctly the TPMS side of the receiver is also good so the problem lies in the wheel sensors?

So if the FOB's work then the receiver (RFA) is fine.
Great news, so if I replace the TPMS wheel sensors the error for the left rear and 0 psi from the right rear should go away

Another thing that can be tried is if the left front won't program you can program the left front from a sensor on another (01-04) car, then program the others from your car.

On my '99 the left front wouldn't program, so I used a wheel on another car for the left front then the others on mine. The result is the left front will not show up (since the other car isn't around), but the others will show up in the correct position. However, this will still cause the tire monitor message to show up in the display (which can be cleared) since it will be missing the signal from one wheel.

It sounds like you need new TPMS sensors.

Maybe you need a stronger magnet.
