Default BCM & TCS (long)

Two issues that I have over the course of the last couple of weeks.

1. I get a security light staying on, doesn't happen all the time and if I shut off the engine and restart (even w/o removing the key ) the light goes out. Codes run show 40 BCM B2723H, pass key detect. I switched keys from the one I've been using to the spare and I also cleaned the pellet no change, still happens. - nothing else on the key ring except the fob.

2. Cruise control deactivates randomly at speed ~65-75 mph. Doesn't happen all the time and can be fine for either long periods or miles. The other day got a Service Active Handling, first time I saw that pop up and just before, the cruise deactivated and I could feel the traction control. This time the on dash tract control light stayed on until I shut off engine and upon restart it was gone. This was about a 150 mile trip - Before I got home I had a couple of more cruise control deactivated events, so I switched the tract control off and no issues with the cruise, but it happens randomly so not much faith in this test only that it seems to indicted the one might cause the other. (switched the tract control back on and in about 10 miles the cruise deactivated). These issues with the tract control only have been happening recently and on long high stretches. Codes run - 28 TCS C1287H - steering colum position sensor. Looks like I have a bad key switch and the steering sensor might be bad too. Any thoughts or comments thanks . 2003 with ~37k miles. Thanks all.

I had a 2008 c6 that would deactivate cruise and pull codes for service active handling and engine drag control deactivated. I believe it was caused by the tread design of the nitto Invos tires and/or the ratio of running non oems tire sizes

Good tips will check these out. I am currently running OEM tire/wheel sizes, but thanks.
