Headlight issue

Passanger side headlight stopped working. Orderered a plastic replacement gear and replaced it with the old one. Headlight still grinds everytime it closes. What could be the issue? Is the headlight motor shot?

The "Rodney Dickman" kit comes complete with a brass gear, a T brace, grease,glue and everything else requires. AND, great instructions.

Not sure how much night driving you do but if it seldom to little (like me) I would just replace the motor.

Check out this video on youtube, "Replacing the Drive Gear in a 2001 C5 Corvette Headlight Motor" . If you followed each step in the video then it isn't the gear that's the problem.
