Default 04 magnetic shocks please help

hi, i live in orange county, california and have 04 Convertible with the magnetic suspension option.

with less than 30,000miles sitting in the garage most of the tims, they socks already went bad - so my machanic told me - the socks are covered with black dust that looks like copy machine toner...

anyway, the original oem parts too much and i like to put the regular shocks without the magnetic option - i learned in the forum and thanks to the forum!

problem is i don't know where to take it, who knows how.

please let me know a nice place i can trust the work.

i am close to huntington beach, fountain valley, seal beach, those area...

i'd much appreciate your help in advance!

drive safe and enjoy life, everyone!!!

Here is the procedure that worked!

1. Hook up your Tech 2, turn the car ON, make sure the module in the rear is plugged in. DO NOT UNPLUG THIS MODULE

2. Now use the Tech 2 to delete the F45 option ( F55 option does not appear on the Tech 2 menu screen - SO - DELETE THE F45 OPTION

3. Save the new configuration

4. DO NOT TURN THE CAR OFF DO NOT REMOVE THE TECH 2 Go to the module in the rear of the car, unplug the GRAY connector - IT IS THE WIDEST ONE - leave the center and smaller black plug in.

5. Turn off the car but LEAVE THE TECH 2 PLUGGED IN

6. Remove remaining plugs from module in the rear of the car

6a Disconnect battery for at least 60 minutes

6b Reconnect battery

7. Now the moment of TRUTH - Turn the car on and verify that the dreaded - MAX SPEED 80 MPH - is gone

8. Unplug the Tech 2 - Get in the car and take it for a ride. Smile as you pass the DREADED 80 MPH and in knowing that you beat GM

Once the option is deleted, you just install the shocks of your choice.

As far as who has a TECH II in your area, start calling local tuners. Dealers will have a TECH II for certain but they may NOT want to delete the F55 option. You could start calling them and asking.

I appreciate so much! Now, I would like to know what brand and what kind of shock is recommended and how much they cost... At the mean time, I will call around to see who can delete the program.

Thanks again!

How about OEM ZO6 shocks? I like to corner when I drive. I don't drive much anyway and never for a daily driver. just to have fun some times on weekends...you know.

OEM ZO6 shocks are hard? stiff? bearable?

Thank you for your kindness answering my question/s.
