Strange thing happen - 2 mph
Hi everyone, i've done some research but can't find anything similar to my problem.
First, i backed up in my nephew's car.
I really did. Only going about 2 mph or less, there's no body damage on either car, even no scratches.
After listening my wife laughing at me... i pull foward and stopped the Vette (C5 - 98 - A4). Trans shifted in park correctly but the key did not came back to off position. So i cannot pull it out.
I dismantle the shifter and found that the small cable controlling the function wasn't returned properly at his place. Shake it a bit and it was then OK. Put everything back in place and start the car. What a mess !!!
I've got the ''service power steering'' message, battery (3 months old) charge at 13.3 V, used to be 14.1 V and althoug running fine in idle, rev ok in Park, it stalls as soon as i touch the go pedal when transmission engaged...
What could it be ?????

Bad translation, DIC was in French, it is indeed ''Service colomn lock'' and ''pull the key and wait 10 sec.''
I think i'll do a new search with that in mind...
Anyway, french is fun, espacially when you kiss...
