Default quick questions about p1518

I have read and read on this subject and have performed several diagnostics following the troubleshooting guideline. A couple quick questions before i pull the plug on a tac

Until this morning i could always clear the code and it would start right up and run all day no problems in between shutting off and starting the car. Always in the morning.

so just a quick list of things i have checked.
i checked battery voltage last night but at the end of the day after driving. It was like 12.56..........this morning it was at 12.05. I am kind of thinking a gradual draw is on the battery so as it sits all night it is too low and triggers the code??? any idea if that is low enough to do this

With key on position i get power to fuse #17 but with key off position no power. This fuse should have power in off position correct. so i moved to next part of diagnostics. drove to oreilleys hooked up their scanner and shows no codes which is probably right due to clearing to drive in the morning.

now i can not get the code to clear this morning and start. In another post bill c said if you can not get the code to clear to replace the tac. just wanted to double check before i do

things i am going to do today before pulling that plug. Pull the harness and look for bad wires. All the grounds were cleaned last week from the low voltage problem i was having.ignition contacts were already cleaned also. going to pull the connectors from my throttle body and clean them and inspect

any other tips would help. thanks in advance

so here it is a few weeks down the road. update.

i ordered a new tac module. installed. car started right up. no problems. That was thusday. drove around all weekend no problem.

Monday morning i get in to go to work...........p1518 reduced engine power code. along with 1281, 1288, 2120. all current. I cleared the codes so i could start and drive to work......the car no longer registered mph but kmh. wierd.

parked it at work at 6am. left at 3pm. same amount of time as overnight but it started right up. no codes nothing. drove an hour to my buddys shop and hooked up a tech 2. They found absolutely nothing wrong. voltage was good and throttle response was good. it reversed polarity as it should around 3k rpm. then i drove around for about 2 more hours and it ran like a champ.

this morning i get out to go to work and the same thing. I didn't check the codes again but it was reduced engine power...no start.

i think it is wierd that this is only happening in the morning. nothing is draining the battery. ive checked all lights, seats. everything.

weather conditions have been wet lately. it started around the time it started raining so im thinking maybe something is getting wet, or i have a short somewhere along the way.

i did not clear my codes so that my friend will be coming by with his tech 2 and i need the problem existing when he checks. plus the same thing happened last time. I could clear and drive for about 5 days then it just fried and i could not clear....i do not want to do it again to a brand new tac module

any suggestions would be appreciated. also are there any other circuits i need to check out with the tech 2 other than the obvious?
