So I just bought a 2003 corvette with almost 140kmile. There are some problems with this cars. Of course, the A/C control head is broken, TPM sensor needs to change, windshield washer level sensor is broken. I got it cheap so I expected some problem with it. But the electrical system has some issue. I cannot turn on the fog light, when the engin is on. When engin is off, I can... The signal light keep broken, I have changed two sets of those, and one pair of sockets, and it only last three weeks. I asked someone look into it, he pull out set of wire, and told me it was anti-theft wire and remote ignition. After removing those, the lights still have problems.
I want to buy a performance chip to get better MPG and a bit more power. Or I should go to a shop? I live in Philly.
Thank you guys!
A chip will only give you better MPG because your wallet will be lighter.
have a look at the wiring. Has anyone done any wiring repairs? Sometimes people do repairs but they aren't done well which causes electrical problems.
Check all of the grounds. This is easy enough to do.
Yes, after I got the car, I tried to fix A/C myself. But I couldn't do it. Coz someone else tried to do it before the wires were mess...I brought it to the shop asked them to remove the alarm and remote start. Which I was told they can be the reason for electrical problems.
